What is the difference from other conventional futons?
You won't fee pain on your back because this futon is twice as thick as other futons and it is very cushioning. Also, the futons of other shops are so compressed for delivery that they are very thin when they arrive. Even leaving in the air after opening, the thickness does not come back so some people feel pain on their back when sleeping. This product is shipped without compression, so you can experience the best comfort of futon which is made by Japanese craftsman.
Is the filling polyester?
Yes, batting is 50% polyester, 50% Mighty Top (antibacterial, deodorant and anti-mite effects have been confirmed in Japan). The side that touches the skin is 100% cotton. For this reason, this futon is very satisfying for this price because it has a good touch, cushioning, and keep futon clean for a long time.
Is this futon chemically treated at all? Flame retardants, anti bacterials, etc?
Mighty Top II, a material that has been confirmed in Japan for its antibacterial, deodorant and anti-mite effects, is used for batting. It is not chemically treated because it has the above effects due to the special fiber structure. The rest of the futon uses only safe materials, such as cotton and polyester, so that you can use it safely.
Will a 39" X 82" cover fit this futon? Is it good for low back pain? Looking at this cover but not sure of the fit
We recommend a futon cover that you can search with "Bjdesign Japanese Futon Cover". This cover is sized to fit the futon even when shrunk after the dryer. It is dyed vividly in Kyoto, Japan, the fabric is thick and firm, and it feels very good. We recommend using our futon cover to keep your futon clean.
How many years can this futon be used without feeling back pain?
As the cotton gets thinner, it is recommended to replace the futon every 2 to 3 years.

When will my order arrive?
There is no definite and fixed number of days for the arrival of the product. Once order is placed, we ship within 3 business days from USA domestic warehouse. Please allow around 3-5 business days for the product to arrive to you.
Can I cancel my order once it is placed?
As soon as you place your order, we immediately process it in our inventory so unfortunately, you cannot cancel placed orders. Be 100% sure about purchasing the product before proceeding to checkout.
